Come and Take It - 12""X18"" Nylon Flag

This flag is also called the Gonzales Banner of 1835. In 1831 Mexican authorities provided the settlers of Gonzales with a cannon for their protection. As Santa Anna assumed more power and civil unrest began to spread, the Mexican military felt it unwise to leave the residents of Gonzales with a weapon so the Mexican Military Militia went to Gonzales to retrieve the cannon. The Texans responded by raising a banner that included a star over a cannon over the words ""Come and Take it"".
